I was pleasantly surprised with a bunch of portrait orders for Christmas. I was very busy and I surprised myself by pushing and finishing portraits faster than ever. Here they are:

Here are some portraits I have finished, but not had a chance to put up until now. :D
Roller Derby and the kids are keeping me busy. Griffin just turned 15. I have been getting steady orders for portraits for the past 3 weeks. It is very exciting, but I am working at a faster pace than I am used to. We are looking forward to the holidays...of course. :P

1/2 way

This is the first 1/2 of my most recent commission. I'm not crazy about the composition. Hopefully the client likes it. The next drawing is going to be very hard. The pictures are very small and lack detail. Hopefully I can pull it off.

Back in the saddle

Finally finished another drawing. This one is a very late father's day gift for Bill. Next, I need to do a portrait of Frida for an Art Show. I'm very nervous and feeling very insecure. lol

still

I'm still struggling a bit. I have mostly just been focusing on taking care of the kids. It's all I have engergy for. I did manage to finish one portrait that a customer ordered.

I have also been screen printing shirts for the derby team. I bit off more than I can chew with that. I'm keeping up so far. Spent money on it that we probably don't really have for it. Everyone has been great with paying me for the screens.

I hope to be up and drawing again soon.


Kaida had her 4th birthday party. She seemed very happy with her cake and presents.

I have been busy with roller derby. I wish I was already better at it.

I also have been trying to feel normal. So far, today is seeming to be normal. Not shakey, not sleepy, not panicked. Just here.

Bill's dad showed me how to bead necklaces. I have been doing a bit of that. I am taking apart old jewlery so that I have more beads. It is very relaxing to put a neckalce together.

I have two drawings stagnating. I just have not been calm enough to get into them. I work a little every day.

The good news is that I am seeing a little light now, maybe I'll be up and running again here soon.

stuck

I'm stuck on Tesla. I'm so annoyed with it. I really should finish it. The portrait is mostly the tesla coil, and I'm not used to drawing stuff like that. It would help if I felt better too..
